On February 23, the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) commented on publications and video materials discussing allegedly existing informal nicknames of its employees.

In an official statement from the press service, it was emphasized that only official titles and positions provided for by law are used in the agency's work.

“Reports about nicknames and unofficial titles are not true and do not pertain to the staffing practices of our committee. Such designations arise outside of official activities and do not represent the agency's position,” the press service clarified.

Additionally, it was noted that the circulated video contains fictional nicknames and “distorted information.”

“These materials are disseminated by interested parties and aim to create a false public opinion about the work of the SCNS,” the agency believes.

The SCNS also added that its activities “strictly comply with the law and are based on the principles of service discipline and professional ethics,” while urging to avoid spreading unverified information.
