Last year, the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted about 1,500 raids aimed at identifying minors in difficult life circumstances. This was reported by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oktay Urmanbetov at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on law and order.

According to him, during these activities, about 13,000 children were discovered. Of these, 433 children were homeless, 311 were engaged in begging, and 7 teenagers were detained for consuming alcoholic beverages.

The Deputy Minister also spoke about measures to ensure safety in educational institutions: surveillance cameras have been installed in 683 schools.

Additionally, a "panic button" system has been implemented in 562 educational institutions. Oktay Urmanbetov noted that when such a button is activated, a police unit arrives at the scene within five minutes.
