In our time, when technology should promote progress, one of the most sophisticated forms of domestic violence—“digital terror”—is manifesting in the world of digital communications. The prosecutor's office, which oversees compliance with laws in the criminal enforcement system, provided an example of such a case.

The criminal case presented by the prosecutor's office revealed a horrifying truth: even while behind bars, the criminal was able to turn the life of a mother of three into a true hell, pushing her to extreme measures.

The fate of E.S. is a story of manipulation and cynicism, where everything began not with love, but with deception. E.S., being significantly older than his victim, deceitfully took the young woman to the Talas region, where he forced her into marriage, suppressing her will.

This “marriage,” concluded under conditions of violence, became the basis for years of suffering, where instead of comfort, the woman faced beatings and humiliation, ultimately leading to a tragic loss—the death of her firstborn.

Even after being imprisoned for other charges, E.S. showed no remorse. On the contrary, he used a mobile phone as a tool of terror and launched a real campaign against his family.

When his wife was grieving the loss of one of the newborn twins, E.S. ruthlessly exploited her sorrow, turning her into a “living resource” for his needs.

He constantly demanded money transfers, food, and clothing from her, effectively making her financially and psychologically dependent.

When the woman tried to resist, E.S. resorted to the most vile means—public shame. He organized a real bullying campaign online, creating fake accounts in the name of his victim, her mother, and sisters, publishing intimate photos and slander. The cunning of the criminal lay in the fact that he provided personal numbers of her and her relatives, passing them off as individuals offering intimate services. As a result, the women began receiving calls from strangers with indecent proposals.

This “shadow” attack was aimed at completely destroying the reputation of the entire family, provoking conflicts in the homes of the victim's sisters with their husbands and relatives. Under the pressure of slander, even close ones began to reproach her: “You have disgraced us too,” which deprived her of her last hope and support.

Under unbearable psychological pressure and suffering from deep moral trauma, the woman sought help at a crisis center, where she received support from specialists.

However, in the fall of 2024, when despair reached its peak, the mother of three children went to the bridge over the Big Chui Canal (BChK), intending to end her life. At a critical moment, a lawyer from the crisis center called her. Hearing her state, the lawyer did not end the conversation until help arrived, saving her life at the last moment.

Even in court, E.S.'s cruelty was fully manifested. In front of the prosecutor and the judge, he threatened the woman with violence, openly stating: “I will get out and finish you off, I will cut you,” demonstrating his intent to commit murder. The court, based on irrefutable evidence, found E.S. guilty and sentenced him to six years of imprisonment.

This case highlights a dangerous trend: some convicts deliberately choose young and trusting girls, manipulating their feelings to enter into official marriages. These marriages are used to force women into financial slavery, turning them into couriers for delivering money and packages.

Moreover, criminals can open bank accounts and SIM cards in the names of such women for fraudulent activities. As a result, even though the crime is committed from behind bars, the responsibility for financial operations falls on the innocent women.

The prosecutor's office urges young women to be vigilant, to avoid virtual traps, and to beware of dubious marriages, as well as not to open bank accounts at the request of unfamiliar individuals.

Remember: suicide is not a solution. Your life is far more valuable than any slander. If you are facing blackmail or violence, do not remain in the shadows, contact law enforcement. The state is obliged to protect you and your children, and strict penalties are provided for any manifestations of incitement to suicide.
