After reviewing all the arguments, the judicial panel decided to return the case for a new hearing in the Lenin District Court due to newly discovered circumstances, overturning the previous decisions of two instances.
The verdict regarding 11 journalists was announced by the Lenin District Court on October 10, 2024, just recently.
Bolot Temirov's wife, Mahabat Tajibek kyzy, was found guilty under Articles 41 Part 2 and 278 Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning "Calls for active disobedience to the lawful demands of representatives of power and for mass riots, as well as calls for violence against citizens." As a result, she was sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment.
