A resident of the capital filed a complaint with the police, stating that his acquaintance had taken his "KIA K7" car for $16,000 with a promise to sell it within a month. Later, the fraudster took two more "Hyundai Sonata" cars, valued at $12,000 and $12,500 respectively, also promising to sell them. In total, the victim handed over $20,500 to him, after which the fraudster stopped communicating.
This incident was registered under Article 209 ("Fraud") of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
Operatives of the Oktobersky Department of Internal Affairs arrested the suspect, born in 1981, known by the initials O.A. He has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
