In Sokuluk, a suspect in car exchange fraud has been detained

In the Chui region, a man suspected of fraudulent activities related to car exchanges has been detained. This was reported by the main department of internal affairs of the region.

According to police information, on October 27, 2025, a resident of the city of Shopokov, D. T., born in 1990, approached the Sokuluk district police department. He reported that on May 15, 2025, the suspect, T. R., gained his trust and offered to exchange a KIA Morning for a KIA K7, as well as swindled $2,500 from him.

On March 13, 2026, during operational activities, police officers arrested T. R., born in 1991. He was placed in a temporary detention facility in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Currently, an investigation is underway to determine whether the detainee is involved in other similar crimes. The case is ongoing.
