Officials from the Chayek Ayil Okmotu accused of illegal land sales

During an inspection conducted by the prosecutor's office of the Jumgal district, facts of illegal provision of land plots for private ownership in the Chayek rural municipality were revealed. This was reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the information from the prosecutor's office, officials from this rural municipality, using their official position, illegally transferred land plots totaling 2.35 hectares to private individuals during the period from 2022 to 2023, without any applications from citizens and ignoring the established procedure.

In connection with the above, a criminal case was initiated under Article 337 "Abuse of official position" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The investigation is ongoing.
