In an interview with the publication "Kabar," Erkin Checheybaev shared how his life has changed since he took the position of Minister of Health.

Currently, he lives in a one-room apartment and has an Alabai dog. "Previously, I walked my dog twice a day. Now, due to a lack of time, she is in a kennel. I try to visit her on Sundays, but that doesn't always work out. However, I believe these are temporary difficulties," the minister said.

Checheybaev starts his workday at 8:30 AM, but the end time of his workday varies significantly—sometimes he stays until 8 or 10 PM.

"As long as the president trusts me, I will work. If that trust runs out, I will leave my position. I am not clinging to this chair; I did not seek this appointment; it was simply offered to me—I agreed. I can leave at any moment. But only those who do nothing make mistakes. I sleep soundly; I am not involved in corruption. This position is not a priority for me," Checheybaev noted.

Additionally, the minister reported that his two sons and their mother live in Almaty.
