The ceremony in Kyrgyzstan marked the handover of new mobile laboratories: a PCR/ELISA laboratory and a pneumatic frame laboratory, designed to combat quarantine and especially dangerous infections in natural foci. This was reported by the press center of the Ministry of Health.

The equipment that arrived in the country was provided by the Russian Federation as part of a long-term partnership. The event was attended by the Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, Erkin Checheybaev, and the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova.

The new laboratories complement the existing five mobile complexes that have been operating in the republic for several years. They are equipped with everything necessary for rapid diagnostics and epidemiological surveillance in remote areas.

The mobile complex on a chassis allows access to hard-to-reach areas, provided there is appropriate road infrastructure, while the pneumatic frame laboratory can be deployed in just a few hours and ensures a high level of biological safety when working with dangerous pathogens.

The Minister of Health, Erkin Checheybaev, noted that thanks to the new mobile laboratories and joint projects, the country is successfully controlling natural foci of plague, which helps maintain sanitary and epidemiological stability and strengthens national capabilities to respond to potential threats.

According to information, in recent years, the mobile laboratories of Kyrgyzstan and Russia have surveyed eight natural foci of plague.

Despite the increase in the number of foci and the presence of cases in neighboring countries, Kyrgyzstan has managed to avoid a deterioration of the epidemiological situation.
The fight against the spread of HIV infection also remains an important area of cooperation. Ten mobile clinics provided by Russia have examined more than 103,000 people. In addition, a joint program to reduce hepatitis B morbidity, within which over 700,000 doses of the Russian vaccine were supplied, has allowed for a threefold reduction in morbidity rates.

The laboratories handed over to Kyrgyzstan were manufactured in Russia and are equipped with all necessary components, as well as warranty service. The Russian side has confirmed its readiness to provide technical support if necessary.
