In Bishkek, with the support of the OSCE Program Office and the Center for International Stabilization Measures and Arms Control from Austria, a mechanism for the Coordination Cell for Countering Explosive Threats (CET-CC) was developed for the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB). This was reported by the press service of the Border Service.

According to information from the OSCE, from November 24 to 28, a week-long training course was held in Osh for employees of the Border Service and the engineering group. During the training, participants gained practical skills in coordinating actions, became familiar with procedures for neutralizing explosives, and studied safety measures for working in field conditions.

It is noted that this program aims to enhance the security level of engineering units, improve control at the state border, and develop interagency cooperation. The establishment of the CET-CC mechanism will enable increased effectiveness in responding to explosive threats and reduce risks for personnel.
