The Government of Kyrgyzstan has approved a decision to transfer a land plot in the Alamudun district of the Chui region, intended for the construction of the campus of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after Boris Yeltsin.

The specified plot is located in the rural district of Baytik Baatyr and has an area of 27.82 hectares. This land has changed its status from agricultural to settlement land, of which 25.38 hectares belong to the state, while 2.44 hectares are privately owned.

This decision was made to implement the project for the construction of the campus of the intergovernmental higher educational institution KRSU. The basis for this was the provisions of the Land Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and the current law on the moratorium on the conversion of irrigated lands, which allow exceptions for state and strategically important projects.

According to the adopted resolution, the administration of the Alamudun district must secure the plot by terminating third-party rights to it, accept it into state ownership before the construction begins, and make changes to the cadastral documentation. It is also necessary to strictly adhere to urban planning, environmental, sanitary, and seismic standards.

Particular attention is paid to the need to preserve soil fertility, compensate for possible losses in agricultural production, protect objects of historical and cultural heritage, and ensure the mandatory involvement of an archaeologist in earthworks.

Control over the implementation of this resolution is entrusted to the administration of the President of Kyrgyzstan. The document comes into force 10 days after signing.

The resolution was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev.
