More than 84% of Kyrgyzstanis have optimistic expectations for 2026, - survey

More than 84% of citizens of Kyrgyzstan express optimism regarding the year 2026, according to the results of a survey conducted by the Kusein Isaev Center for Social Research (CIO) at BGU. The study took place from December 25 to 29 and covered a wide range of respondents.

According to the data obtained, 46.7% of survey participants are confident that the upcoming year will bring "very successful" events, while 37.6% consider it "generally good." At the same time, only 8% of respondents expect that 2026 will be "rather difficult" or "very bad."

The main goal of the research was to assess the social sentiments and expectations of Kyrgyz citizens in light of the end of 2025 and taking into account the upcoming 2026. The survey was conducted online through the CIO panel, with 1,039 people participating, representing 7 regions of the country and the capital city of Bishkek.
