On January 14, 2026, it will be 32 years since the State Emblem of the Kyrgyz Republic was approved, which is an important symbol of the country's sovereignty and independence.

The emblem was adopted by a resolution of the Jogorku Kenesh on January 14, 1994, more than two years after Kyrgyzstan became independent. Artists Asein Abdrayev and Sadyrbek Dubanaev were the creators of this symbol.

According to information from official sources, the selection of the main state symbol took place in a highly competitive environment. A total of 2,234 sketches were submitted for the competition, and a special commission of 21 deputies was created to evaluate them. The final version was determined after multiple discussions.
The emblem, executed in the traditional blue color of Turkic peoples, symbolizes purity, peace, and the sky. The central element is a white falcon (ak shunkar) with outstretched wings, which embodies freedom and the aspiration for the future. Behind the bird are depicted Lake Issyk-Kul, the Ala-Tuu mountain ranges, and the rising sun, emphasizing the natural wealth and eternity of the country.
Surrounding the emblem are images of wheat and cotton, highlighting the hard work and agricultural traditions of the people. At the top of the emblem is the inscription "Kyrgyz," and at the bottom — "Republic."

The State Emblem, along with the flag and anthem, is an important attribute of the state, reflecting the historical path and values of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as its national identity.
