Kyrgyzstan Temporarily Bans the Export of Waste Paper and Paper Waste

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan has decided to impose a temporary ban on the export of waste paper and paper waste classified under the EAEU TN VED code 4707. This ban will take effect 15 days after its official publication.

According to the new decree, the restriction will be in place for six months and will come into force three days after its official entry. Exceptions include transit shipments and humanitarian cargo, which will be determined by the government's decision.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has been instructed to notify the World Trade Organization and the Eurasian Economic Commission about the introduction of this ban. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs must also inform the Executive Committee of the CIS in the established manner.

Customs and border services are required to take measures to prevent the illegal export of waste paper and paper waste.
