The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has introduced a temporary ban on the import of electronic cigarettes into the country.
A temporary ban is being introduced for six months on the import of the following goods into the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic:
– electronic cigarettes and nicotine delivery systems containing nicotine liquid in one unit, under the code TN VED EAEU 2404 12 000 0;
– nicotine-containing liquids in cartridges, tanks, and other containers for use in electronic cigarettes, also under the code TN VED EAEU 2404 12 000 0.
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has been instructed to notify the World Trade Organization and the Eurasian Economic Commission about the introduction of this ban.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs must notify the Executive Committee of the CIS about the introduction of the aforementioned ban in the established manner.
The State Customs Service and the Border Service must take measures to prevent the illegal import of the goods specified in the first point.
It is also recognized that the previous resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated July 2, 2025, No. 387, on the temporary ban on the import of electronic cigarettes has become invalid.
Control over the implementation of this resolution is assigned to the Department for Monitoring the Implementation of Decisions of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The resolution comes into force 15 days after its official publication, according to the text of the document.
