The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has raised the discount rate to 10 percent
On October 27, 2025, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic announced an increase in the key interest rate by 75 basis points, bringing it to a new level of 10.00 percent. This change will take effect on October 28. According to the regulator's data, the inflation rate since the beginning of the current year has reached 6.2 percent, and on an annual basis — 8.4 percent. At the same time, there is a shift in inflationary pressure from food products to non-food items and services.
