The authorities also plan to implement a system of real rewards and introduce a special badge
In Uzbekistan, the possibility of introducing protective orders for citizens who report cases of corruption is being considered. These measures were announced on the official website of the country's president.
In addition, the authorities aim to create a system of real rewards for informants to help identify corrupt offenses. As an additional measure, the establishment of a badge "For Contribution to the Fight Against Corruption" is being discussed.
This initiative was raised in light of the report by the director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, Akmal Burkhanov, which was presented to the deputies in September. According to him, in 2024, 31 informants received rewards for the information provided about corruption.
However, as Burkhanov noted, the existing reward system for informants is not functioning properly. Citizens show insufficient activity, and the automated payment process is not yet established, leading to the influence of the human factor. In most cases, informants only receive letters of thanks.
It is expected that the introduction of protective orders and the development of new motivation mechanisms will increase the level of public trust and activate community participation in the fight against corruption.
