In 2025, fishing tickets and cards worth 13.5 million soms were sold, - Ministry of Agriculture
The agency noted that this success was made possible by the implementation of online ticket sales for fishing.
An important point is that in 2025, active raids against poaching were conducted in the waters of Lake Issyk-Kul and on the rivers of the country, aimed at preventing illegal fishing. If a fisherman does not have a fishing license, their actions are considered a violation, for which a fine of 1000 soms is imposed.
Details about the cost of fishing in water bodies, as well as the types and prices of fishing licenses, can be found here.
The Department of Fisheries approved limits for sport and amateur fishing in water bodies of commercial importance for 2025. These limits were agreed upon with the laboratory of ichthyology and hydrobiology of the Biological Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, and agreements were also made with public organizations and limited liability companies.
Fishing enthusiasts can now easily purchase tickets and pay for them online. "The implementation of this system has significantly simplified the process of obtaining tickets, making the service accessible to citizens in all regions and contributing to a reduction in the use of paper documents," the agency's message stated.
The Ministry of Agriculture also plans to continue developing electronic services and increase control over compliance with the established limits on fish catch.
