At the conference "National Dialogue on Energy Efficiency: Achievements, Challenges, Prospects," Boronbaev reported that Kyrgyzstan is facing the problem of high greenhouse gas emissions from buildings, which exceed global averages.

He noted that to reduce thermal energy losses, it is necessary to improve the energy efficiency of buildings in the country.

"Buildings in Kyrgyzstan use 50% of all produced energy, so it is important to ensure comfortable conditions in premises throughout the year," he added.

The expert emphasized that to address existing problems, the principles of energy-saving architecture should be applied, including optimizing the shape of buildings and their orientation, as well as the placement of windows and doors.

"It is important for a building to be designed to effectively utilize solar energy in winter and provide good ventilation in summer to maintain coolness in the premises," he concluded.
