The minister announced plans to improve the processing and packaging of beans
At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Bakyt Torobaev, presented his initiatives for the implementation of beans.
He noted that the price of this product on the international market has decreased from $1600 to $930 per ton.
“We are engaged in the collection and separation of beans, but in other countries, they are additionally processed and packaged. We should also implement such practices. In addition, we intend to include beans in the menu of schoolchildren and military personnel as an important source of protein,” the minister added.
He also mentioned that with the reduction of seed calibration to 5-6, there is a need to update the planting material. The minister emphasized that the calibration of beans should be at least 8-9.
