Against the backdrop of preparations for the "Agrodialog–2026" forum, Ruslan Minbaev, recognized as one of the best gardeners in the country, shared his success story. According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan, his journey to the championship title began in 2012. In 2016, he decided to launch an ambitious project to create a large blackcurrant plantation, becoming an innovator in his region.
By abandoning traditional irrigation methods, Minbaev opted for modern watering techniques. The transition to drip irrigation allowed him to achieve impressive results: from 2 hectares of land, the farmer harvests 28 tons of produce. In 2025, his efforts were recognized at the "Agrodialog" forum, where he was awarded the title of champion. Ruslan noted that behind his success lies not only hard work but also a desire to learn — he completed an internship in China, where he studied advanced smart farming practices and effective pest control with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture.
His victory at last year's forum significantly accelerated the development of his business. The farm received support from local authorities and began participating in international projects, including the European program "Macford-2025." Ruslan Minbaev is confident that the upcoming "Agrodialog–2026" forum will be an important event for many farmers looking to implement innovations and develop the agricultural sector of Kyrgyzstan.
