In Kyrgyzstan, a draft resolution is being discussed that proposes a temporary ban on the import of a number of gypsum products, including slabs, sheets, and tiles that lack ornamentation and are covered only with paper or cardboard.

According to the proposal, the restriction will be in effect for six months and will apply to transportation by road.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has been instructed to notify the World Trade Organization and the Eurasian Economic Commission three days before the resolution comes into effect.

Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must inform the Executive Committee of the CIS about the introduction of the ban.

The State Customs Service and the Border Service will receive instructions to take measures to prevent the illegal import of these products into the country.

If the draft is approved, it will come into force 15 days after its official publication.
