As part of his working visit to Azerbaijan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev held important negotiations regarding the expansion of cooperation in shipbuilding and the supply of petroleum products.

Torobaev met in Baku with Ruslan Talibov, who is the chairman of the board of the Baku Shipbuilding Plant.

The Kyrgyz side was informed about the capabilities of the plant, including the construction of ferries and other vessels intended for servicing the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor.

During the discussions, the parties considered the prospects for cooperation in the operation of ferries for transport and logistics needs, including the use of Kyrgyz ferries in the Caspian Sea. Such interaction could help diversify Kyrgyzstan's transport routes, reduce cargo delivery times, and enhance the competitiveness of local businesses.

Additionally, Torobaev held a meeting with Anar Mamedov, Vice President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). This meeting discussed the possibilities of supplying lubricants to Kyrgyzstan, as well as exchanging experiences on improving energy efficiency, digitizing processes, and implementing environmentally friendly technologies.

During the visit, the Kyrgyz delegation also familiarized itself with major modernization projects at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, related to deep oil processing and the implementation of modern technological solutions.
