At the airport in Orenburg, a Russian court decided to arrest a 74-year-old citizen of Kazakhstan who attacked police officers, reports Tengrinews.kz.

According to court information, the pensioner arrived in Russia by car intending to visit her daughter, after which she planned to continue her journey by plane. During the inspection of her carry-on luggage, a 5-liter container of oil was discovered, which she attempted to bring with her.

“When she was informed about the transportation rules, the woman became aggressive and struck two police officers,” the court stated.

At the court hearing, the woman did not admit her guilt and did not express remorse. The court, considering her age, previously examined the possibility of alternative measures such as bail or house arrest.
“Nevertheless, the character references provided from her place of residence and from the detention center where she was held indicated that the pensioner does not wish to comply with social norms,” the official statement said.

Based on the collected information about the detainee's identity and data regarding her plans to leave Russia, the court decided to detain the Kazakhstani woman for two months.
