According to information provided by the press service of the Batken region's Internal Affairs Department, a resident of the area named A.U.A. reported a fraud incident to the city police department.
According to his statement, on March 19, 2025, a 27-year-old man named M.E.K., residing in Batken, purchased 10 grams of gold in one of the stores for a total of 97,000 soms. However, up until today, he has not returned this money to the owner.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 209 of the Criminal Code ("Fraud"). During operational-search activities, the suspect was detained, and investigative actions are currently ongoing.
Additionally, during the investigation, other possible cases of fraud related to the activities of this individual are being examined.
