According to the press service of the regional police, operatives of the Drug Control Service (DCS) of the Batken region conducted a successful operation aimed at curbing drug trafficking in the area.
During operational-search activities in the city of Kyzyl-Kiya, a 47-year-old foreign national, known by the initials A. I., was detained. During a personal search, hashish was found on him, which was seized and documented in accordance with established procedures.
A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee under Article 283 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, which pertains to the illegal production of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances without the intent to sell.
According to the detainee, he imported the drug from his country. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to clarify all the circumstances of the case and the channels of drug supply to the region.
