According to the words of the doctor from the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, Maria Kushubakova, smoke from fireworks and other pyrotechnic products can be hazardous to health, especially for children. In an interview on "Birinchi Radio," she emphasized the importance of being aware of these risks.

The specialist noted that the respiratory organs are primarily affected when using pyrotechnics, and there is also a possibility of damage to the eyes and skin. Improper handling of pyrotechnics can lead to burns, and a large amount of smoke can cause poisoning, especially in children. Symptoms of poisoning may include vomiting and even loss of consciousness, and in such situations, it is essential to seek medical assistance immediately.

Kushubakova also provided recommendations for the safe use and storage of pyrotechnic products. Remnants after using pyrotechnics should be placed in a container with water to prevent ignition from unburned parts. She warned against storing remnants in plastic or glass containers, as shards can injure people nearby in the event of an explosion. In case of injury or burns from pyrotechnics, one should not engage in self-treatment; it is necessary to apply a cold compress and call for emergency help.

It is important to monitor the expiration dates of pyrotechnic products and to adhere to their storage conditions, which should be dry and dark, the doctor added.
