Deputy Elvira Surabaldiyeva raised a relevant issue related to the assignment of categories to doctors. She noted that specialists from the regions are forced to leave their workplaces for the duration of their training at the Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training of Medical Workers. Due to limited time, many of them do not manage to complete the course and face the necessity of paying extra for its completion.
Surabaldiyeva emphasized that reform and proper oversight from the leadership are required in this matter.
In response, Matkerimov clarified that the training of doctors for obtaining categories is indeed organized at the Daniyarov Institute, where they acquire all the necessary knowledge and skills. However, the final assignment of categories is carried out through the relevant associations.
“We discussed with the Minister of Health the possibility of reforming this process so that all responsibility lies with the Ministry of Health. Also, doctors who are forced to pay for their training can leave their details, and we will consider each case individually,” Matkerimov added.
