Peskov noted that the Kremlin is closely monitoring the news from Geneva; however, no official information on this matter has been received yet. "No, we have not received any information so far," he emphasized, urging reliance on official sources rather than media leaks.

According to information received in mid-November, the United States has prepared a plan for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, consisting of 28 points. This document includes a number of concessions from Kyiv, including the withdrawal of troops from the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, a refusal to join NATO, and a reduction in the size of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Following the meetings in Geneva, the White House reported that the U.S. and Ukraine had agreed on "updated and improved frameworks for a peaceful settlement." For its part, Britain, France, and Germany prepared an alternative version proposing to reduce the size of the Ukrainian army to 800,000, rather than 600,000 as indicated in the American version.

Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously stated that Moscow had reviewed the proposed plan from the U.S., which could serve as a basis for further negotiations. The Kremlin emphasizes its readiness for peace, but taking into account its national interests.
