The case of four individuals accused of mass poisoning from bean lobio has been transferred to the Lyublinsky District Court of Moscow. This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia, specifying that the incident resulted in the deaths of two citizens.
The criminal case concerns the production and sale of food products that do not meet safety standards. The Prosecutor General's Office presented photographs depicting the unsanitary conditions in which the food, which caused the poisoning of 350 people, was prepared.
The accused in the case of producing unsafe food are: Vladimir Shin, the owner of the canned beans "Savon-K," Anton Lozin, the general director of "LocalKitchen" (the delivery service "Kitchen in the Neighborhood"), Elena Mashkova, the head of the quality department of "Kitchen in the Neighborhood," and Karim Normatov, a hired cook from Tajikistan working at "Savon-K." All of them are suspected under part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia.
Vladimir Shin is also accused of the illegal registration of 31 foreigners at his mother's residence, who worked at his enterprise.

The Prosecutor General's Office reported that in May-June, Shin purchased beans. Employee Normatov, lacking experience in the food industry and arriving from Tajikistan, prepared and packaged the beans with serious violations, including a lack of sterilization and improper thermal processing. As a result, botulinum toxin formed in the beans. Lozin and Mashkova received these beans without conducting the necessary checks to save costs and used them to prepare the "Lobio" salad, which was then sold through "Kitchen in the Neighborhood" and "Samokat."
The total number of sold portions of unsafe salad exceeded 2000. Many victims exhibited symptoms, including severe headaches, slurred speech, and blurred vision.
As a result of botulism, nearly 350 people were affected, two of whom died, and 52 were on the verge of death. Fortunately, thanks to the prompt intervention of doctors, they were saved.
The victims are demanding compensation of over 70 million rubles. The company "LocalKitchen" has already partially compensated them voluntarily.
