Rubber Apartments. Participants of the Illegal Migration Channel Sentenced in Russia

In Chelyabinsk, the Soviet District Court announced the verdict for ten individuals who were part of a criminal group involved in organizing illegal migration. Of these, nine received actual prison sentences, while one participant was fined, as reported by the media.

The investigation revealed that the accused provided foreigners with fake employment contracts, fictitious certificates of knowledge of the Russian language and history, as well as organized registration in so-called "rubber apartments" for a monetary reward.

The operation to suppress the activities of this group was conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with support from the FSB and Rosgvardiya fighters.

Among the accused, three of the most active participants were sentenced to six years in prison, four received four years, and two were given sentences ranging from two to three years. The court imposed a fine of 300,000 rubles on the tenth defendant.

All defendants were found guilty under the article "Organization of Illegal Migration" of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
