However, the court found them guilty of corruption under article 303 part 1 and sentenced each to eight years of imprisonment.
It should be noted that in early October 2018, it became known that a criminal case had been initiated against Elvira Jarkeeva on charges of "Abuse of official position," "Service forgery," and "Issuing a knowingly unlawful decision" under the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. By a decree of President Sooronbay Jeenbekov, her powers were prematurely terminated based on the recommendation of the disciplinary commission of the Council of Judges. The grounds for this were violations in a civil case concerning the sale of real estate and decisions made by the judicial executor.
Later, a second criminal case was initiated against Jarkeeva on charges of article 304 "Abuse of official position" and 328 "Issuing a knowingly unlawful decision."
A third criminal case was also initiated against Jarkeeva and other participants on charges of articles 303 "Corruption," 313-1 "Receiving a bribe," 313-2 "Mediating in bribery," and 314 "Giving a bribe" under the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
