A resident of the city, O.N., reported to the police on March 2, stating that the company’s director received money from her for organizing a tourist trip but failed to fulfill her obligations.
In connection with the above incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 ("Fraud") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the investigation, the suspect, having gained the client's trust, embezzled 307,500 soms, thereby causing significant material damage.
Officers from the operational-search department (OSD) of the First May District Department of Internal Affairs, together with the OSD of the MDIA of Bishkek, worked to establish the whereabouts of citizen M.K. and brought her to the investigative service, using social media monitoring.
In accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, she has been placed in the temporary detention facility (TDF) of the MDIA of Bishkek.
Currently, the investigation is ongoing to clarify all the circumstances of the case and identify any other potential victims.
