At a press conference held on March 26 at AKIpress, Gulzamira Zholdoshbaeva spoke about the difficult situation her daughter Meilikhan and her five children are facing while living in Dacha SU. In September 2024, doctors diagnosed Meilikhan with stage 2 oncology and recommended starting treatment.
However, according to Zholdoshbaeva, the treatment did not yield the expected results, and medical professionals from Kyrgyzstan advised seeking help from specialists in Uzbekistan.
In Uzbekistan, the family was told that the cost of treatment would be $18,000 and were asked to provide test results. After Meilikhan underwent the necessary tests, Uzbek doctors refused to accept her, explaining this by the poor results and their inability to provide assistance. As a result, the family decided to turn to Russian doctors.
“In December 2025, I told the elder of Dacha SU about our difficult situation, and he advised me to contact T.G., a blogger from Turkey. We got in touch, and she claimed to head a charity fund, promising to raise funds through live broadcasts. She also asked for clothing sizes for my grandchildren and me, promising to send humanitarian aid,” Zholdoshbaeva recalls.
Meanwhile, concerned citizens helped raise $5,400 for Meilikhan's family. Zholdoshbaeva claims that T.G. offered treatment in Turkey, where she allegedly found specialists. On February 18, 2026, Meilikhan was sent to Turkey.
“T.G. took $2,200 from her, her phone, and forced her to clean the house. On the fourth day, Meilikhan's cyst ruptured, and she felt unwell. Her daughter managed to contact another Kyrgyzstani, Chynara, who came and took Meilikhan. She drove her to Ankara, where doctors said that if she had stayed for one more day, she could have fallen into a coma. Now, two surgeries are scheduled for her on March 30. We have contacted the Internal Affairs Department of the Sverdlovsk District and the General Prosecutor's Office,” Zholdoshbaeva said.
She also noted that after her accusations against T.G., two other bloggers began spreading false information about the family. In this regard, they are asking the authorities to pay attention to their difficulties and hold all three bloggers criminally liable.
