The head of the presidential administration, Kanibek Tumanbaev, announced the new name following a meeting with President Sadyr Japarov, during which citizens' opinions were taken into account. He noted that "Bishkek Arena" will become a symbol of unity and progress for the capital, as well as the beginning of a new phase for Kyrgyzstan.
The grand opening of the stadium is expected to be an important event for the country in August 2026. Currently, about 80% of the concrete work has been completed, and the installation of structures is planned to be finished by February 15, 2026. Additionally, work is underway on engineering systems and interior design.
The stadium will be a unique facility for the region, including approximately 40,000 m² of retail space for international brands, which will create a multifunctional sports and commercial complex. The stadium is expected to be fully ready by August 1, 2026, when Bishkek and the entire country will celebrate an important step in the development of Kyrgyzstan's sports infrastructure.
