Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Education were punished
On December 29, a meeting took place in the Talas region, attended by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, teachers, as well as school leadership and local administrations. The event was initiated by the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), as reported by the committee's press service.
The meeting was prompted by an incident involving a conflict between seventh graders in Talas, which occurred during the autumn holidays and became public knowledge due to a video posted on social media.
Participants in the meeting were informed about the progress of the investigation being conducted by the GKNB regarding this case. As a result, shortcomings in the actions of responsible officials were identified. Consequently, the principal of secondary school No. 5 in Talas was dismissed, as well as the deputy head of the city’s internal affairs department. Additionally, disciplinary measures were taken against the head of the city’s education department and the social educator of school No. 5, and reprimands were issued to four employees of the internal affairs bodies.
The minors involved in the unlawful actions were placed on preventive registration, and their parents were fined in accordance with current legislation.
