Recently, a meeting of the headquarters dedicated to the situation with ARVI and influenza was held, chaired by the Minister of Health Kanaybek Dosmambekov.

During the meeting, participants discussed the current state of epidemiology, the burden on hospitals, and the functioning of the primary care sector in the context of the seasonal rise in illnesses.

According to data from the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, there is a decrease in registered cases of illnesses in the republic.

If at the end of 2025 there were 15,043 cases of ARVI and influenza recorded, then in the first week of 2026 this figure decreased to 9,490 cases, and from January 5 to 8, 2026, there were 6,745 cases registered.
Overall, the epidemic situation remains stable, and monitoring continues daily across all regions of the country.

According to information from the heads of children's hospitals and health coordinators, admissions to hospitals are within the long-term norms. However, it is observed that part of the burden on medical institutions arises from the population turning directly to hospitals, bypassing the primary care sector, despite organized duty shifts and patient reception on weekends and holidays in all family medicine centers in the republic.

In this regard, the Minister of Health instructed to improve the sorting and routing of patients in family medicine centers for a more optimal distribution of flows between different levels of medical care.

The meeting also paid special attention to issues of prevention and informing the population about the situation with illnesses.
