In Osh, the café "Eurasia" will be demolished, as its activities have been suspended for an extended period. This was announced by Mayor Jenishbek Toktorbaev on January 16.

Along with representatives of relevant services, the mayor inspected the water protection zone of the Zhekelik canal, which is under the control of the municipal management "Manas-Ata." Attention was drawn to the structures of the café "Eurasia," located on Alisher Navoi Street. These buildings, situated near the shoreline, have not been in use for many years and have fallen into disrepair.

As a result of the inspection, relevant agencies were instructed to dismantle illegal structures in the water protection zone of the canal as soon as possible and to clear the area.

Other facilities built within the protective strip of the water artery were also checked. A decision was made to strengthen control over illegal construction in such areas.

According to the municipality, systematic monitoring of water protection zones will be carried out in Osh, along with efforts to prevent unauthorized construction.

According to current legislative requirements, the water protection zones of canals range from 6 to 50 meters on each side. For example, for the Moyun, Zhany-Aryk, and Joo-Bas canals, this zone is 6 meters, while for the Ak-Buura River, it is 50 meters. The water protection strip of the Uvam canal is 30 meters on each side.
