According to the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, by 2025 Kyrgyzstan has already ensured self-sufficiency in six out of nine main categories of food. Among the products that the republic produces independently, vegetables, melons, potatoes, milk, meat, sugar, and eggs can be highlighted. However, to meet the demand for bread, vegetable oil, fruits, and berries, the republic still relies on imports.
