The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev, congratulated the workers and veterans of the police on their professional holiday — Police Day of Kyrgyzstan.

The press service of the government issued a congratulatory message:

Dear employees and veterans of the police!

From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate you on your professional holiday — Police Day of Kyrgyzstan.
You are selfless individuals who take on the responsibility for the safety of every citizen and the protection of society and the state from criminal actions. Your work deserves sincere respect. You are the support that stands against criminal elements, those who attempt to challenge the laws, public order, and cultural traditions.

The Kyrgyz police have gone through many trials. Throughout modern history, during periods of social unrest, when criminal elements sought to take the place of official authority, the police have always remained a hope and support for the people.

In recent years, significant changes have occurred in our society. The pace of economic growth has increased, revenues to the state budget have risen, and the salaries of public sector employees, including police officers, have significantly increased. Thanks to decisive actions against crime, especially organized groups and the corruption that supported them, the joint efforts of the police, judicial authorities, and the prosecutor's office have made our society much safer.

It should be noted that the material and technical support of the internal affairs agencies has significantly improved. Police officers are provided with housing, and modern administrative buildings are being constructed.

The state allocates significant funds for special equipment and gear for the operational detention of offenders, actively implementing modern technologies, including artificial intelligence. This has allowed for the apprehension of criminals wanted by Interpol for many years.

Moreover, important changes have occurred in the institutional structure. As a result of the humanization of law enforcement legislation, the number of people sentenced to imprisonment has significantly decreased. For example, in 2003 there were 16,444 such individuals, while in 2024 there are already 7,051. This trend is evident.

Our main goal is not only to detain and punish criminals but also to reduce the overall crime rate. In this context, an important task is to educate the youth of Kyrgyzstan in the spirit of honesty and high morality, and police officers must play a key role in this. Effective preventive measures will help reduce threats to the lives and health of people, including the police officers themselves. Instead of considering costs in terms of human lives, we should view the time spent on educating youth and solving crimes as an investment in the future.

In the modern context, where transnational organized crime operates and new types of crimes, including cybercrime, emerge, I am confident that our police will enhance their professional and intellectual potential, which will allow us to achieve the planned results.

Dear employees and veterans of the internal affairs agencies!

Happy holiday! May your difficult and honorable service always be successful.
I wish you good health, long life, inexhaustible energy, and well-being for your families.
