The project is being implemented with the financial support of the Eurasian Stabilization and Development Fund, while the international consulting company Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG provides technical support and supervision.
The work is divided into three lots, for which contractors were selected based on the results of international tenders:
- lots 1 and 2 - consortium DEC–SM (China / South Korea);
- lot 3 - Sinohydro Bureau 16 (China).
Current Progress
As part of the project, the following important works have already been completed:
- conducting off-site coordination meetings with the participation of all contractors and engineering consultants;
- preparation and leveling of construction sites, including the placement of equipment, offices, and temporary infrastructure;
- concreting of foundations for contractors' office and residential buildings to ensure the continuous operation of personnel;
- beginning of the installation of metal structures for office and residential buildings, including load-bearing and roofing elements;
- technical inspection of the water pipeline of hydro unit No. 2 and the compensator of hydro unit No. 1 with the participation of designers;
- preparation for the commissioning of the second hydro unit, which is a preliminary stage for the main construction and installation works.
