According to information provided to a Turmush correspondent, Azim Azhybekov, the head of the district's Center for General Medical Practice, reported on the measures being taken to attract personnel to the region's healthcare system.
Azhybekov noted that in recent years, favorable conditions for young doctors have been actively created. Previously, the hospital had a dormitory with 15 places. Last year, a project was developed that received funding of 2 million 800 thousand soms. Thanks to this, the dormitory was expanded, adding 6 more places, and the facility was put into operation with the necessary amenities.
Additionally, the village government has been proposed to consider the possibility of introducing a social package for new specialists. This issue is currently under discussion, and if approved by the deputies, such initiatives could significantly increase the influx of personnel.
According to a government decree, starting in April, the salaries of medical workers are planned to be doubled. In this regard, preparations are underway for a job fair that will take place in February at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy. Special brochures are also being prepared to attract the necessary specialists to the district.
Currently, the following specialists are particularly needed in the At-Bashinsky district:
- neonatologist
- obstetrician-gynecologist
- cardiologist
- infectious disease specialist
- pediatrician
- family doctor
- phthisiatrist
- oncologist
- ENT doctor
- ophthalmologist
“Preliminary negotiations are underway. It is expected that an ophthalmologist and an endocrinologist will start working in the fall,” Azhybekov added.
To date, 7 young doctors and 3 resident interns have arrived in the district. However, the demand for medical personnel remains high,” he concluded.
