Azamat Kadyrov emphasized that the project includes contactless tram lines, which is due to the rapid development of technology. “There is a prevailing opinion that a tram must have a contact line, but modern projects show that this is not the case. Trams on cushions and various power supply systems are already being used around the world. We are in the process of studying international experience,” noted Kadyrov.
As part of the project, it is planned that the new trams will move along the main arterial streets, where special dedicated lanes will be created for them. This will ensure high speed of movement and safety, as well as make the routes more predictable.
Kadyrov added that progress in technology is changing the perception of trams. “The name remains the same, but the principles of operation are completely new. We are exploring all possible technological solutions to make the project as effective and convenient for the city's residents as possible,” he concluded.
Discussions on the General Plan will continue, and citizens' opinions will be taken into account in the process of finalizing the document.
