Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), held a meeting with Hans Henri P. Kluge, the Regional Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) for Europe.

At this meeting, as reported by OTS representatives, an action plan for 2026–2027 was signed, aimed at implementing the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between OTS and the WHO European Regional Office.

During the discussion, the parties addressed key areas of joint work, including strengthening emergency preparedness in healthcare, developing digital technologies in the medical field, and enhancing institutional and human resource capacity. Additionally, emphasis was placed on promoting sustainable environmental healthcare facilities.

The signed document aims to deepen cooperation to improve the healthcare systems of the participating countries and enhance sanitary and epidemiological safety. It also includes efforts to prevent and combat non-communicable diseases, promote healthy aging policies, and implement initiatives aimed at reducing the negative impact of climate change on public health.

Thus, this action plan creates a solid foundation for joint activities in the medium term and ensures consistency in strategic interaction between the Organization of Turkic States and WHO for the European region.
