
A representative of the Democratic Party of Mongolia, Togtgerel Odon, who holds the position of chairman and leads the parliamentary faction, met on January 29, 2026, with a delegation from the Communist Party of China (CPC) at their initiative. Details are reported by MiddleAsianNews.
At the meeting, the Chinese side was represented by high-ranking officials, including Go Wenqi, who is the Executive Deputy Director (Minister) of the Working Committee of Central and State Organizations, and Dong Weihua, Deputy Chairman of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Disciplinary Commission. Also among the participants were Shen Chuanliang, Deputy Director of the Working Committee, and Zhuan Zhui, Deputy Director of the First Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the Chinese Ambassador to Mongolia, Shen Minjun, with embassy staff.

Among those present from the Democratic Party were: Chairman Togtgerel Odon, parliamentarians Munkhbat Tsagaanhuu and Ochirbat Ganbat, party secretary and advisor to the parliamentary faction Batpurev Ayushsureng, as well as foreign affairs secretary Indranila Ishbaljir.

During the discussion, the parties exchanged views on ways to strengthen relations and mutual understanding between the parties, as well as on the prospects for expanding cooperation by adding new areas.
The CPC confirmed its readiness to provide practical assistance in training and developing personnel for the Democratic Party on the territory of China.
Meeting participants noted the importance of active interaction and trust between political parties to deepen bilateral relations.
