Key provisions of the new Constitution project
The novelty of this project lies not only in the number of changes but also in its conceptual content. The document was developed taking into account modern requirements and reflects the changes that have occurred in society and public consciousness in recent years.
The key goals of the constitutional reform are: strengthening statehood and independence, improving the quality of life for citizens, and creating a relevant political governance model.
The priority of human rights and freedoms has become one of the central principles of the new edition of the Constitution. The section dedicated to citizens' rights is the most extensive and includes about 30 articles.
The Constitution project also includes:
- the creation of a strong and competent parliament;
- the formation of an effective government;
- the strengthening of an independent and transparent judicial system;
- the enhancement of the role of political parties and local authorities;
- the development of mechanisms for interaction between the center and the regions.
The document enshrines guarantees of the inviolability of private life, protection of personal data, and digital rights, as well as norms aimed at developing education, science, technology, and innovation.
The new Constitution is intended to create a power system in which all branches will independently make decisions, and state institutions will be oriented towards protecting the interests of citizens.
The authorities of Kazakhstan are confident that the adoption of the new Constitution will serve as a foundation for further modernization of the country and will be a response to modern global challenges.
