
On the night of January 11, 2026, officers of the Talas Department of Internal Affairs received a report from medical personnel that a man in critical condition had been brought to their facility, whose name has not yet been established. The information was provided by the press service of the regional internal affairs department.
On the same day, a woman named E.S. contacted the police, reporting the death of her father, E.Z., born in 1968. She asked law enforcement to investigate the causes of his death and identify those responsible for the incident.
During operational activities, a suspect was detained — T.B., born in 1977, a resident of the Talas region. He stated that that evening he had been drinking alcoholic beverages at his home with E.Z. During a conflict that arose, while under the influence of alcohol, T.B. struck E.Z. on the head with a stick. Later, the victim died in the hospital, and a forensic medical examination was ordered in connection with this fact.
A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee under Article 130 of the Criminal Code (Causing serious harm to health). T.B. has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
