The GKNB (State Committee for National Security) of Kyrgyzstan has identified cases of contract violations by one of the suppliers, who was supposed to provide the Ministry of Defense with weapons. According to the security service, as a result of an inspection conducted by the Ministry of Finance, damages amounting to 244 million 587 thousand 870 soms (approximately 2.7 million euros) were established. As part of the initiated criminal case and the investigative actions taken, this amount was fully reimbursed by the supplying company.
The GKNB continues its operations and investigations aimed at identifying officials of the Ministry of Defense who may be involved in this corruption scheme.
