Experts from the agency found that one of the supplier companies, which had signed a contract for the supply of weapons, failed to fulfill its obligations. As a result of an audit conducted by the Ministry of Finance, damage was established in the amount of 244 million 587 thousand 870 soms, which is approximately 2.7 million euros.
The GKNB reported that as part of the initiated criminal case and conducted operational investigative measures, the specified amount was fully compensated by the supplier company.
The committee added that active actions are ongoing to investigate and identify officials of the Ministry of Defense involved in this corruption scheme.
