As law enforcement agencies have determined, a 55-year-old citizen named K.Sh. filed a complaint with the police regarding the actions of the head of one of the correctional institutions of the State Penitentiary Service.
According to the complainant, in December 2025, the head of the institution received a bribe of $30,000 for facilitating the early conditional release of a convict under Article 209 "Fraud" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result, a criminal case was initiated under Article 342 "Receiving a Bribe" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During operational activities, law enforcement officers detained T.M., born in 1984, who previously held the position of head of correctional institution No. 27. He is currently in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Department of Internal Affairs, and investigative actions are ongoing.
